PICASSO’S GARAGE | ART THERAPY STUDIO
TORONTO EST.2005
celebrating 20 years of inspiring creativity in Davisville village
welcome to my studio
Picasso's Garage Art Therapy Studio is a unique haven for personal growth and empowerment in Toronto, Ontario. Led by Claire Nicholls, a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) (CRPO) and a Registered Canadian Art Therapist (RCAT) (CATA), my studio takes a distinct approach to guiding individuals through various aspects of personal development, focus on finding purpose, navigating parenting challenges, identity crises, overcoming imposter syndrome, boosting self-esteem, anxiety, and reconnecting with your joy.
At Picasso's Garage, we use creative art directives with a mental health focus to encourage clients to express themselves artistically. We delve into the psychological and emotional depths of their art, incorporating Jungian archetypes and exploring light and shadow character elements for self-development. Our sessions are not just about art, they are about you. We integrate psycho-educational components to equip you with coping skills and resilience-building strategies. And most importantly, our art therapy sessions are personalized to resonate with your interests, including your pop-culture passions often featuring superheroes, tarot cards, comic books, and other fanfic genres.
Join me at Picasso's Garage and embark on a journey where art becomes a powerful tool for healing and personal growth. Let's explore the boundless potential of creative expression together. And remember
"Art therapy is not just for kids, and you don't need to be artsy
(no art background needed.)
Get in touch with your inner child whenever possible."
It is important to remember that creativity, art, and art therapy are not just for children. People of all ages can enjoy these activities. They can help build creative resilience and connect you with your inner joy. So, I encourage everyone to explore their creative pursuits, regardless of age, whenever possible, as they hold the key to unlocking new levels of self-discovery and well-being.
what would your life look like if you became the hero?
Tarot Therapy encourages you to connect with deeper aspects of yourself. By identifying with the archetypes represented in the tarot—such as The Fool, The Magician, or The Empress—you can explore your strengths, weaknesses, and potential paths forward.
